PROCREATE: THE BASICS
Who: Anyone interested in lettering, calligraphy, drawing, or painting on their iPad using Procreate.
Where: St. Andrews Heights Community Hall 2504 – 13th Avenue NW, Calgary

Cost: $50.00
Supplies: You will need an iPad, Apple Pencil, the Procreate App, an iPad charger and an extension code or external battery to keep your iPad charged during the day.

Procreate is the best-selling drawing and painting app available for the iPad. It is a complete art, lettering or calligraphy studio that you can use anywhere and anytime.
You can work entirely digitally or incorporate the best of the digital world into traditional pen-and-paper lettering and calligraphy.
This one-day workshop will introduce you to the basics of the Procreate app. You will learn about the:
· Procreate-related features of the iPad Operating System;
· Interface, Gesture Controls and Settings;
· Gallery and Canvasses;
· Brushes and colour Palettes; and
· Layers – the defining feature of digital art
This workshop will give you a solid understanding of the basic functionality of Procreate and give you the courage to explore the program's intermediate and advanced features and capabilities, either on your own or by joining the BVCG Procreate Club.
Participants must install the latest version of the
Procreate App on their iPad before the workshop, but no Procreate or iPad
experience is necessary. The Procreate App is available on the App Store for a one time payment of $17.99.
Registration for a maximum of 15 students begins March 1, 2025, for members and March 8, 2025, for non-members.
